A guide to transfers, UV DTF and custom orders

Start with the intended use and material, then choose artwork and a production method. This guide follows Fábrica de Ideas products and ordering information.

How do textile transfers differ from UV DTF decals?

Textile transfers need heat and compatible garments or fabric bags that tolerate the specified pressing conditions. UV DTF decals transfer to compatible smooth, hard surfaces without a heat press. They use different materials and methods, so confirm where the design will be applied first.

How do I check the packaging and dimensions?

Common existing formats include 16×21 cm textile transfers with yellow headers,28×28 cm large designs with beige headers, and8×13 cm UV DTF decals with grey headers. Check the actual packaging and instructions for the chosen item. Sheet dimensions are not the dimensions of each individual motif; confirm supplied units and contents before ordering.

Can I buy small quantities and mix catalogue designs?

Catalogue designs have no minimum purchase quantity and can be mixed. Save references, choose designs and quantities and create a shortlist for an enquiry. This does not mean that every custom project has no minimum.

What can be customised, and what is the minimum?

Discuss your artwork as textile transfers or UV DTF, finished garments, bags and caps, or team logo clothing. Provide the intended use, artwork or reference, dimensions and expected quantity. Custom minimums, process, supplied contents and quote depend on the agreed proposal.

Why choose the artwork before the garment or object?

The same type of blank garment or item can be paired with different designs to explore more shop combinations. Suitability depends on fabric or surface, dimensions and application conditions. Designs, blank items and finished production have different supplied contents: an application scene does not mean that everything shown is included.

How do production in Spain and delivery across Europe work?

Fábrica de Ideas provides printing and custom project enquiries in Spain, with a contact address in Fuenlabrada, Madrid. Production is arranged when orders are received, depending on products, quantity and confirmed requirements. European courier delivery is available. Destination, charges and estimated transport are confirmed when ordering; there is no single guaranteed delivery period.

What stage is the 2027 collection at?

The 2027 product and display collection is planned for production and sale. Discuss a proposal around shop space, products, logos, artwork, materials and colours. Images illustrate concepts and applications; available production, price and timing are confirmed per project.

How do I request a quote? Do I pay on the website?

Record catalogue references and quantities, or prepare purpose, dimensions, quantity and destination on the custom page. Contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email and confirm supply, quote and timing. Browsing, shortlisting or preparing an enquiry does not confirm an order. The website currently has no online checkout.

Which application and care instructions should I follow?

Check compatibility first. Transfer temperature, time, pressure, peeling and washing follow each item’s supplied instructions rather than universal settings. For UV DTF, clean and dry the compatible surface and apply as instructed; avoid dishwashers and steam cleaning.

What artwork should I prepare for custom DTF or UV DTF printing?

Send your available original file and a visual reference, with final dimensions in centimetres and quantity. If you only have a photo or sketch, explain this so feasibility can be reviewed. Resolution, background, fine lines and any adaptation must be confirmed before production; do not assume a screenshot is print-ready.

How do I prepare a workwear order with a logo?

Specify garment type, colour, sizes and units per size. Attach the logo and indicate its position and approximate dimensions. Clarify whether you need finished garments or transfers to apply yourself. Fábrica de Ideas confirms compatibility and supplied contents before quoting.

What should I keep for a repeat order?

Keep the reference, approved artwork, dimensions and previous order details. State the new quantity and any change of garment or surface when requesting a repeat order. Reconfirm availability, quotation and timing; a previous order does not guarantee stock or the same delivery date.

What should I compare in DTF and UV DTF quotations in Spain?

Check whether the quote covers the transfer alone or also the item and application. Compare dimensions, quantity, artwork preparation, packaging, shipping and tax treatment. Confirm amounts and terms with each supplier. Send these details and your delivery postcode when enquiring with Fábrica de Ideas.
